Food Apathy

“But I’m not hungry! Nothing sounds good.”

That’s because you’re past hunger.

Food restriction can lead to food apathy, or lack of hunger, and is something every eater needs to be aware of.

When you start to feel the need to control what you consume, sit with the discomfort and get curious: What are YOUR hunger cues?  How do you honor your hunger if you don’t know you’re hungry?

If you keep ignoring your hunger cues they’ll eventually disappear. Either you won’t notice when you are physically hungry or your desire for eating will diminish.

Being hungry is natural, starvation is not.
